A couple of weeks ago I hosted a nail art workshop for a group of teenage girls very dear to my heart who collectively are called “VIRTUE”; eventually it turned into a nail painting session for VIRTUE and the guardians who brought them. All in all it was very successful. Inspired by the nails inc workshop I attended a couple of months ago, I wanted the young ladies to be creative and simply do whatever they felt like doing on their nails.
Here are a few pictures I managed to get that day:
Some choice to just use these nail wraps similar to the ones from Innoco

Believe it or not, the under 18 crowd is still pretty impressed with the crackle phenomenon.
I chose to do something different on each nail…some nails turned out good, some did not.

3 Tips for a sucessful Nail Art Party:
1. Have several key “designs” you want to teach or techniques that people can follow easily. I created a Pinterest Board full of tutorials that I found by googling Nail Art. The main ones that we did were Marble Nails, News Paper Nails and Dotting.
2. Have ALL the necessary supplies ready so your guests don’t . Here is my list of everything that I bought:
clear bowls for water marble techniques
nail clippers
wooden sticks to push back cuticles and clean underneath nails
thin brushes for nail painting
cotton balls
q-tips
acetone
a variety of nail polish
newspaper to cover the table/floor
3. Have fun! One could argue that towards the end the Nail Art Workshop turned into a nail art war zone of chaos with polish sprinkled EVERYWHERE. But, when you’re dealing with a large group, you have to go with the flow.
