I recieved the lovely opportunity to attend a a nails inc. and Sephora nail art workshop at Sephora Times Square. If you know me from my tumblr days, you know that I love nail polish and spend a lot of money in Sephora buying nail polish. Part of the benefits of being a frequent Sephora shopper is becoming a VIB (Very Important Beauty Insider). One of the perks are invitations to special events held by Sephora (via email).
The workshop was hands on, and tutorial based. Heather Berry, head of Product Development for nails inc. was an amazing instructor (along with a lovely nails inc. manicurist) narrating to us directions for each nail design technique. They provided everyone with the tools necessary to complete each of the three designs.

Here are my nail art efforts resulting from the workshop. I know, not the best picture/application, but I am equipped with some tools thanks to Sephora and nails inc. and I will have plenty of practice.

Lastly I asked for some nail tips from nails inc’s manicurist. She said as someone who paints her nails pretty much everyday, two things are essential to not jepoardize nail health:
- Base coat and Top Coat (nails inc makes a beautiful caviar top coat, which dries instantly)
- Cuticle oil (post about that real soon!)
Check out my post sharing the beginning of my nail health journey.

Looks like it was an awesome workshop! Did they tell you to use nail tape to do the stripes or did they have some other technique?

Hi Kristina
The stripes were just layers of color on top of each other. The tape was for the water marble nail technique, which I haven’t mastered yet
