Cetaphil Thinks Clean Skin Should Be Your Best Accessory

Hey B&B lovelies, this is a guest post by one of my blogging homies, Kimberleev of I Have a Degree In This! I hope this helps you with your skincare needs!

Last Tuesday I had the privilege of having breakfast at Bergdorf Goodman’s hosted by Cetaphil®. Cetaphil® is a brand that I have used since high school. It was recommended by dermatologists for teens with acne or those like myself with sensitive skin. I’ve used and trusted it for years. In fact, they sell a bottle of their cleanser once every 10 minutes! The event was to announce the launch of a new product – Gentle Skin Cleansing Cloths. Like all of their products, Cetaphil invested a lot of time to ensure that the product was great. They are dermatologist developed and tested, as well as ophthalmologist tested. It took them 2 years! They put a lot of thought behind the product and recognized some of the issues with current makeup removing wipe on the market. Product benefits include:

  • Thoroughly removes dirt and makeup without irritation
  • Ultra soft and gentle for even the most sensitive skin
  • Moisturizes as it cleanses, leaving skin feeling soft and smooth
  • Leaves a completely clean feeling without stripping skin of natural protective oils or emollients
  • Plastic closure ensures cloths remain moist for maximum use
  • High quality cloths guarantee increased durability
  • Fragrance free and non-comedogenic
  • Hypoallergenic

Makeup artist Erica Whelan spoke to us about how she uses the product during her travels and backstage at fashion shows. She likes to use it to refresh her skin after a workout and says they are safe enough to use on babies.

We were able to take a pack home with us so I gave them a whirl. For approximately $5.99 you get 25 sheets, which are twice the size of usual makeup removing cloths. At the event they did confess that it didn’t remove waterproof mascara (which most wipes can’t) but it did do a good job removing the rest of the makeup on my face. I liked the larger cloth but found it started stretching and drying out as I used it. Sometimes had to go over certain areas twice. I also didn’t wash my face after to see if it really did clean everything but of course I broke out so I still needed to wash my face after using like most wipes. They didn’t irritate my skin and were very gentle. Just wish they had a little more strength in getting all the dirt off.
